Research shows that one of the best predictors of a child’s long-term success in school is the number of books in the home. With this in mind, United Way of North Central Florida has set a goal of collecting 10,000 children’s books appropriate for kids age birth to six.
The University Athletic Association and Alachua County Library District are working with United Way to obtain these much needed books. You can receive free admission to the March 5th Gymnastics meet if you bring two ‘gently used’ children’s books with you. Student United Way members will be at the gate collecting books!
